Smashing their way into the Huntik trading card game are the extremely powerful forceful heroes. As the name suggests, they’re a group of very strong heroes with the unique ability Forceful – Attacks I add to a combat can’t be removed. This ability will only be found on Good heroes, and is very handy for avoiding the opposing Bubblelift, Breaker or Professor, thus forcing their attacks through. The cards I am featuring today are some of the best cards in the game, and definitely deserve a look regardless if you play a Good or Evil deck.

First on the agenda is Caliban, Superb Warrior – a huge major hero with 8 ATK and 4 DEF. With 8 ATK, Caliban has enough power to defeat almost anything in combat without having to worry about attack reducing combat actions because he is forceful. This makes him an amazing single card answer to any hero-related problems you want to eliminate. Running him alongside the original Caliban also has its benefits as you can discard Caliban, Superb Warrior for the effect of Caliban, Dante’s Titan. Running the two together will grant you the maximum potential of the incredible Caliban.

Even though he’s already colossal, what really makes this card incredible is Caliban’s additional ability which allows him to be played directly into zone 2. This means he can control 4 zones from the get-go and can be a nasty surprise for the unsuspecting opponent. With his 8 ATK he can rampage through entire zones of heroes at once, forcing the opponent to manage his zones more carefully to avoid Caliban’s havoc. This ability is especially useful in missions that require a ready hero in zone 2, such as the mission Unlock the Pyramid’s Secret where you can take control of zone 2 and 4 early on and never let go – an equally devastating ability whether you’re defending or leading. In a nutshell, this card is incredible and will be a highly sought after rare in the set, and you would do well to come to the sneak preview and pick up some packs or try to trade for one before they’re all gone. But if you thought Caliban, Superb Warrior was good; just take a look at Teien, Masked Seeker.

If you’ve ever been scared of Sabriel, this card is going to make you very happy. With 6 DEF, only a select few can single-handedly take her on without support, making her a very durable resource to have. On top of this, her ability Focus Attack — When I start a combat, I add 3 attacks to that combat – turns her into a ferocious Seeker that can take on nearly everything. At 6 ATK she can KO almost any major and survive. How good is that? This means she can stand up to the likes of Sabriel effortlessly, not something that many major heroes can do at all.

Like all forceful heroes, she’s impossible to knock back with combat actions that remove her attacks. They say that defense is the best offence, and with Teien you have both. As a Super Rare, I guarantee this card will be chased by all the Good players in your area; just don’t be left in the dust if you want to secure a few copies for yourself.

The first thing I thought when I saw this card was “Wow.”

Up until now there has never been a minor hero with 4 ATK or more without a significant drawback; Feyone changes all of that. With 4 ATK, Feyone can singlehandedly trade with many commonly played 4 DEF major heroes such as Dante Vale, and with forceful your opponent’s options are cut short when it comes to dealing with her attacks. The obvious downside with Feyone is her small 1 DEF, but that just means you have to play a bit more carefully to get the best results. Even though the 4 ATK suggests an offensive purpose for Feyone, she’s actually a very defensive card as well, as her attack value deters the opponent from moving their majors forward.

Her secondary ability, Cleanse — When I come into play, each player puts their discard pile on the bottom of their deck and then shuffles it – makes her nothing short of incredible in so many commonly seen matchups. This card is very powerful against top-tier strategies such as Everfight control, Sand Snake variants and Expendable Help, by sending their entire discard pile back to their deck. This also kills the utility of cards such as Everfight, Heirospecter and Get Back to Work! Make no mistake though, this effect is not optional, so the moment you decide to play this card, you’re probably giving up your ability to play the very same cards this card makes inferior. On the other hand, it allows you to put all of your Calibans back into the deck, allowing a constant stream of forceful beaters. As a rare, this card shouldn’t be too hard to get, but I presume that it will be in high demand by players and collectors alike.

No matter which way I look at the forceful heroes, they’re just really, really good. Each and every one of them have broken pre-existing barriers you may have encountered in the game. If you’re an avid player of Good, make sure to obtain your play-set by attending the Omens and Legacies Sneak Preview on October 3rd or 4th, or risk disappointment.
