The first annual Huntik National Championships have come to a close. Seekers in both the world’s hemispheres battle bravely inside the Tomb of the Undead to see who was the strongest. Now players are looking forward to the next new challenge, but don’t just look to the future of Huntik—in the new booster, many of the strongest Seekers and Titans will come from Huntik’s past!

Omens and Legacies is the third booster for the Huntik Trading Card Game. This booster contains not just omens of the Huntik Foundation’s dark new villains—the Bloodspiral—but also control over the legacies of Huntik’s past. You can experience all of this and play with the new cards first by coming to the sneak preview event <link to location list> on October 3 and 4.

From now until the sneak preview, you can visit Huntik.com and get a first look at new cards from Omens and Legacies. That look starts today, with a journey back in time to before The Professor created the Organization.

Back then, he was a young Foundation Seeker named Simon Judeau. This version of The Professor is a major hero with 4 ATK and 5 DEF, just like his future evil self. This makes him a solid fighter, but not as strong as some of the largest major heroes that Good has available. That’s where Simon’s signature power, Chillskin, comes in.

The new exhaust action card Chillskin puts a +1 ATK / +1 DEF counter on one of your heroes. You also get to draw a new card, so your hero gets stronger and harder to defeat without it costing you any cards! If you pick The Professor as the target of Chillskin, he gets an additional +1 / +1 counter. One Chillskin buffs Simon into a 6 ATK / 7 DEF giant! With those stats, he can take out most major and legendary heroes and still stay on the map to fight again. Large Titans like Anubian and Dominator can’t even stand up to a chilly Professor.

To make the most of the round, exhaust a minor hero to play Chillskin on The Professor and leave him ready to fight or move forward and start claiming territory. Giantkiller (from Secrets and Seekers) makes a great choice, since he will also get a +1 / +1 counter for playing the exhaust action. Plays like this can quickly make your heroes larger than your opponent’s.

There are even more cards that create and benefit from +1 ATK / +1 DEF counters in Omens and Legacies, so don’t miss the sneak preview—you can be one of the first players to explore this new deck strategy.

Good has another hero from the past that will strengthen one of the most popular decks that came from Legendary Saga.

Eathon Lambert—Lok’s father and the first Bold Explorer! In his prime, Eathon set the example for what it meant to be a great Seeker, discovering many of the world’s lost Titans and artifacts. Dante and Lok follow his example now, and thanks to Eathon’s Successor power, they can follow him into any zone.

Eathon Lambert has 5 ATK and 4 DEF. This gives him strong offensive power, but he can be a little fragile in a fight. Good thing that’s exactly what you want. When Eathon gets KO’d, you can put any Bold Explorer from your hand into the zone he was in. You can pick a major hero even if you’ve already played one this turn.

The strength of possible combos is mind blowing. The trick is to move Eathon forward to pressure your opponent, but let them start the combat that KO’s Eathon. Then you can drop Dante Vale, Bold Explorer and use his Free Action power on your turn to KO an enemy hero. No enemy heroes left in that zone? Then pick Cavalier, Bold Explorer as his successor and KO an enemy in the next row.

Replace your fallen Eathon with Lok Lambert, Bold Explorer, and you can use his Follow Me power to bring one of your other Explorers forward and create a strong aggressive line to block your enemies. Sometimes you’ll even have a second Eathon Lambert in your hand. The ability to keep KO’ing enemy heroes in a fight without losing any ground on the map is a huge advantage.

If you think Good is getting all the glory in Omens and Legacies, think again. Up next, we’ll have a preview for you of some new Evil cards that will be sure to shake the Foundation.
